The Southern Sudan contains a big number of ethnic groups, mostly Nilotic people or Nilotes.
The largest ethnic group of the Sudanese Nilotic people are the Dinka, which includes as many as twenty-five ethnic groups. The next largest group are the Nuer and the Shilluk , followed by Luo, Anuak, Lotuko, Acholi, Madi, Toposa, Bari, Mundari. There are also the Azande , Bongo, Belanda, Didinga, Larim, Murle and many other.
So in this case the variety of spear typs, forms and material in this region is great. You find spears for different purpose, for example war spears, fishing spears, hunting spears for big and small animals and sacral spears. The main material of the spear tips is iron, but there is also organic material to find, as ivory, bone, antelope horn and ebony.
