Kenya
Kenya is an independent, democratic country in Eastern Africa, whose east border is the Indian Ocean. Its Western border is with Uganda and Lake Victoria and its southern border is with Tanzania.
To the north, it shares a small northwest corner with Sudan, the north with Ethiopia and the northeast with Somalia. Approximately 10% of its population is Muslim.
Kenya is widely acknowledged as the land of our earliest human ancestors.
Weapons
There are three major sub-groups of tribes in Kenya, the Cushites, the Nilotic and the Bantu. Among the Nilotic tribes are the Masai, a part of the nomadic herders, who have become the most famous, even though they number less then a million. Among the Bantu, the Kikuyu tribe numbers over seven million, and is the largest and wealthiest of the tribes. Lesser tribes are present, such as the Kamba, Meru, Embu, Pokot, Nandi, Luhya, Luo, Swahili, Kisii, Miji Kenda and Turkana.
As in other regions of Africa, lineal divisions, as to geopolitical divisions, often separeted related peoples. Weapons often have cross border use and cannot be allocated to one country. In Kenya, border disputes, over the northern area, continue today, with the Somali people. Weapons, such as the Billao, which are generally associated with Somalia, are also used by the Kikuyu tribe of Kenya. Tribes of neighboring regions, such as the Dolbahanta of Somalia, also use spears, similar to the famous spears of the Masai.
